The vines are largely old vines \u2013 over 100 years old so very low production. Wine is made in inox for both wines \u2013 the difference between classic and superior is the difference in sugar and alcohol.<\/p>\n<h3>23rd June 2012 Dolceacqua<\/h3>\n<p>Superiore 2010 Ripe berry fruit, but subdued nose. Black chocolate tannins and red berry fruit, good minerality \u2013 slightly stoney earthy notes \u2013 counterbalancing the richness of the fruit and very good acidity. 17.5\/20<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>22nd May 2011 Blind Tasting Bordighera<\/h3>\n<p>2010 Cherry red. Quite a muted nose. Slightly caramel. Slightly burnt rubber on palate. Light weight fruit, good long acidity, (similar to Tenuta Rondelli) but lacks freshness and zippiness. 13%. 13\/20<\/p>\n<p>29th May 2010 Dolceacqua<\/p>\n<p>2009 Cherry fruit on nose. But much more tannic and austere on palate. Almost mineral character.
