Roccese di Airole 2009. 14% Lovely floral nose. Light weight on palate. Good acidity, inky tannins, dry. Initial taste – wild berry fruit – but this is hidden behind tannins. Acidity – not long in length, so finish is a little soupy.

2007 Good rich fruit, black fruit – but needs greater weight – not enough structure to support the fruit. 14/20
‘Roccese’ 2008. NB fantasy name – out of DOC zone. Rich raspberry jam fruit. 14/20
Roccese Bianco 2009 Not very nice. Heavy and cumbersome – what grapes? 12/20
